Global interactive entertainment software company, Electronic Arts, has announced that The Sims 3 new expansion pack, Showtime, will feature singer, songwriter Katy Perry.
For those unfamiliar with the franchise, The Sims (classified as a role-playing game) essentially allows players to customize, define, and control an avatar (Sim) in a daily, virtual "real world" environment. With The Sims 3 new expansion pack, Showtime, players can now turn their custom avatar into a superstar singer, DJ, or magician and attempt to rise to fame.
The Katy Perry collectors' edition of The Sims 3 Showtime will feature unique and iconic Katy Perry themed in-game content like: fashions, a guitar, a hairstyle and various stage props. The expansion pack will even come with an exclusive Katy Perry poster for the player's viewing pressure.

The Sims 3 new expansion, Showtime, featuring Katy Perry will launch in March 2012. The game is currently available for pre-order in our Gift Shop for $49.99.
