Hip Hop moguls Jay-Z and 50 Cent venture into games on Facebook.

Games on Facebook have been a staple on the world's largest social network for some time now. Companies like Zynga have been able to build successful businesses harnessing games on Facebook. FarmVille and Mafia Wars might ring a bell.

Perhaps it was only a matter of time before Hip Hop heavyweights took a stab at expanding their portfolios to include social gaming. More specically, games on Facebook.

Jay-Z's new Facebook game, Empire, allows players to have it all: cash, fame, street cred, and good karma by journeying from the streets of Marcy Housing in Brooklyn, NY to the hot spots of the rich and famous.

Empire is currently in beta mode, but you can check it out HERE.

On the other side, 50 Cent has taken a different route with his Facebook game--50 Cent's Blackjack. The casino-style game pits players against their friends or the dealer in a virtual version of the popular card game.

According to Hip-Hop Wired, there are plans to release Android and Apple iOS versions of the game as well.
