The Lost Lyrics Of The Digital Music Era

Back in the day physical music (i.e. records, cassette tapes, CDs), came with lyrics to each song. This made it easy for fans to be able to sing/rap along to their favorite tracks.

After Napster, iTunes and the global adoption of MP3 songs, music no long comes with lyrics. Nowadays if someone wants the lyrics to a track they generally search Google and YouTube. And 9 times out of 10 their search results do not include the website of the artist whose song lyrics they're looking for.

This is because it is rare for an artist's website to contain any lyrics to any of their own songs. Crazy right? I know. We've even fallen victim to this.

Because of these circumstances, I've determined it is essential that we provide our song lyrics here on our site.

The challenge with this is that many times (around 85 percent) Kid Brown and myself do not even write our lyrics down. They are either recorded on a mobile device or memorized through repetition.

Despite this, I will find the time to write out the lyrics to each of our songs and create individual blog posts for them. The posts will include a streamable or downloadable version of the track, the lyrics, and potentially some new artwork to keep things fresh.

And no, there will not be any particular order in which I post our song lyrics. It will simply depend on which ones I get done first.

With that said, "64 Bars" is up first. You can check the lyrics here: Song Lyrics: "64 Bars" http://www.songsforpositiveschools.com
