Have you ever wondered the history of a Twitter hashtag? Probably not. But thanks to Visual.ly I was able to put together an infographic detailing the history of #HipHop on Twitter. Seriously.

The infographic below is a snapshot in time, detailing the most influential Twitter users mentioning #HipHop on its first, peak, and last appearance in the past 30 days. In this report (March 21, 2012 - April 19, 2012) #HipHop was mentioned 181,221 times.

The hashtag statistics include data from Twitter users such as, Houston, TX rapper Bun B, Questo of The Roots, and Hip Hop pioneer Rev Run.
