Want a reward for listening to your favorite band or musician? How do some cool band t-shirts sound? Well Canadian start-up, Shirtify, thinks it sounds awesome. The company is looking to reward your music streaming habits with a collection of band tees.

With Shirtify, all you have to do is continue listening to the bands you love, and the company will send you a cool band t-shirt from those artists. Not only do you receive some band merch for your patronage, but you also help support the artists. Here is how it works.

When you sign-up with Shirtify, you tell them which online music service is your preferred platform (the company currently supports Pandora, Spotify, Last.fm and Rdio). Next, you are presented with three choices: one tee a month, a three tee gift pack, or a one time annual payment to receive tees every month (the sizes of band tees range from Extra Small to XXL and you can specify whether you want a male or female size). Then, after you've chosen your size, select your online music platform of choice and enter your username. Shirtify will examine your usage, and send you a cool tee that fits the bands you're listening to the most. Pretty cool right?

Unfortunately, one thing Shirtify does not do is inform you on which artists have tees available. And although this may appear as a bad thing, it doesn't have to be. Not knowing what kind of cool band tee you'll get in the mail can be fun. It can be exciting. Hopefully you enjoy a good surprise.

Finally (as mentioned above), your patronage also supports your favorite artists. Shirtify states that it bypasses record labels and pays artists a direct cut of the money from the tees they ship. "No crazy royalty schemes."

What do you think? Would you use Shirtify to get some surprise band tees delivered to your door just for listening to music? Be sure to include your opinion of the service in the comments section below. Cheers to music and technology.
