StreamJam - Live Concerts and Virtual Hang Outs [VIDEO]

StreamJam, the Internet's music festival, is a new, interactive service looking to connect musicians and fans in a virtual hang-out beyond that of Turntable.fm.

Kicking music and technology up a notch, StreamJam allows musicians and event holders to stream live video performances online in virtual venues by using live video streaming platforms like LiveStream, Justin.tv, and Ustream.

The service also enables artists to generate revenue from their broadcasts through the sale of virtual goods (i.e. digital t-shirts for fan avatars) and event tickets. The event can then be syndicated across various websites allowing fans to participate in the live show and invite friends to watch the event together.

Besides broadcasting live concerts, musicians can also use the service for plenty of other events like:

• Premiering new music videos
• Release parties for new videos
• In-studio recording sessions
• Peeks inside the songwriting or rehearsing process. 

The sky truly is the limit when artists get creative and decide to broadcast an event.
