Subscribe with New Facebook Button

post by KM

Facebook subscribe button
New Facebook button set to launch. Facebook web pages will get a new subscribe button according to a recent statement from the largest social network. The new social feature will enable Facebook users to subscribe to other user updates from any site around the web.

Much like the Twitter Follow button, the Facebook plugin can be embedded on web pages to allow any site visitor to subscribe.

The Facebook statement reads:
“We will soon launch the Subscribe plugin, an extension of the Subscribe button, that publishers and other developers can add to their web sites to make it easy for people to connect to reporters and public figures in one click.”
In addition, Facebook has equipped ways to regulate what someone shares and how they share it. For example, if a user finds an fascinating person they choose to follow, subscribing to that person's updates delivers updates in the user's News Feed, but will be limited to the publicly shared updates by that person. Make sense?

As far as a launch date for the new Facebook Subscribe button goes, there currently isn't one. But, we'll be sure to let you know as soon as we find out.
