Paranormal Activity 3 sets two box office records! The third film in the thrilling franchise had the biggest debut ever for a horror movie with a $54 million opening, and the biggest opening ever for a film released in the month of October. Not to mention it also earned $26 million internationally.

Capturing the No.1 spot at the box office shows just how much fans were craving this latest installment. Some critics are attributing the success of the flick to a few different factors, including:

Synopsis:

In 1988, two young sisters Katie (Katie Featherson, Chloe Csengery) and Kristi (Sprague Grayden, Jessica Brown) befriend an invisible entity who lives in their home.
