Steve Jobs Wins Grammy Award 2012
The late CEO and Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs, will be honored at the 54th Annual GRAMMY® Awards. Jobs will receive a Special Merit Award in the Trustees Award category for his contribution to the transformation of music distribution and music consumption.

Steve Jobs "helped to create products and technology that transformed the way we consume music, TV, movies, and books. A creative visionary, Jobs' innovations such as the iPod and its counterpart, the online iTunes store, revolutionized the industry and how music was distributed and purchased," reads a statement from the Recording Academy.

"In 2002 Apple Computer Inc. was a recipient of a Technical GRAMMY Award for contributions of outstanding technical significance to the recording field. The company continues to lead the way with new technology and in-demand products such as the iPhone and iPad."

The special invitation-only ceremony will be held during GRAMMY® Week on Saturday, 2/11/2012, and a formal acknowledgment will be made during the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, which will be held at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, 2/12/2012, and broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.
